<dc:description>The poetry of Federico Schopf, a poet of the generation of the 60’s, is a key proponent in the development and culture of Chilean poetry with its connections, continuities and discontinuities. Schopf establishes a dialogue with the work of Enrique Lihn, with whom he shares the idea that poetry is «hardly consolation», clear perception, desolate, extensive, of death and of the search or invention of a language to feel pain, despair and then die. This article deals with the fertile dialogue among many others of the author’s personal library that draws upon the use of citation, irony which are inherent demands of this poetic language.</dc:description>

<mods:abstract>The poetry of Federico Schopf, a poet of the generation of the 60’s, is a key proponent in the development and culture of Chilean poetry with its connections, continuities and discontinuities. Schopf establishes a dialogue with the work of Enrique Lihn, with whom he shares the idea that poetry is «hardly consolation», clear perception, desolate, extensive, of death and of the search or invention of a language to feel pain, despair and then die. This article deals with the fertile dialogue among many others of the author’s personal library that draws upon the use of citation, irony which are inherent demands of this poetic language.</mods:abstract>

<field name="value">The poetry of Federico Schopf, a poet of the generation of the 60’s, is a key proponent in the development and culture of Chilean poetry with its connections, continuities and discontinuities. Schopf establishes a dialogue with the work of Enrique Lihn, with whom he shares the idea that poetry is «hardly consolation», clear perception, desolate, extensive, of death and of the search or invention of a language to feel pain, despair and then die. This article deals with the fertile dialogue among many others of the author’s personal library that draws upon the use of citation, irony which are inherent demands of this poetic language.</field>
